Although many of the stories in Dating the Wrong Men are funny or entertaining, the book touches on very serious relationship issues like domestic violence and addictions. Since our audio listeners don’t have the ability to see some of these resources, we’ve provided them here.

The chapter on dating “Abusive Men” references the Cycle of Violence. The cycle of abuse is a social cycle theory developed in 1979 by Lenore E. Walker to explain patterns of behavior in an abusive relationship. Below is the author’s interpretation of the cycle. You can read in more detail about the phases here
